I use imr4350 in my rem sps varmit with 87 gr bergers and they shoot very well from 100 to 500 yards.Working on 105 gr bergers now and the 4350 isn't working so gonna try some slower powder. It has a 9 1/2 twist so I hope it will shoot the 105.

Spent the better part of the morning working on a load that will shoot a good group and ended up with 40 gr of IMR 4831 pushing the Hornady 100 gr BTSP bullet ,COL of 2.71 " . It will give close to a 1"group at 100 yds and considering the trigger is terrible and a pump gun to boot , I am very happy .Not overly fast at about 2775fps but anything over that opened up the group real bad . Thanx for all the info and advice given .

That's why it's so good, much better chance of hitting something. I am talking 90-105 grain only, below that could be anything.

Anyone try that 80gr Barnes Ttsx on whitetail? Sounds like a really lightweight bullet but I really like the Barnes . I'm going to do up a load for my brother and I was thing of using the 90gr accubond or 100gr partition. Maybe the 85 tsx
