Default made it under the first snare

On my snare check today there were lots of tracks in the melted snow , some around some under snares . Followed the tracks and he made it under the first snare but not the second . A good day snaring close to home .

Congrats on that racoon. Is it common to see racoons in your area? That guy looks almost as big as the coyote.

They kinda semi hibernate . Come out in midwinter when it warms up , much like a skunk . This guy weighed 26# . We seem them all the time the rest of the year , mostly at night .

Lots of guys on here catch more and bigger ones than me , all of what I know and have learned about the game have come from them . I'll take lucky over good any day . nube , tomcat , Marty , braggadoe, DR.Death , Hunter Dave ,PCP Ecom, northbuck, are just a few names I can think of that have steered me in the right direction to getting addicted in this game . Snaring sure beats trapping em .Thanks again to all who have freely offered advice , both here on the trapping discussion and thru PM's .
