Default Mossberg 590 butt plate

I've been trying for years to source a shotgun-type butt plate for my Mossberg 590 A1. I think any old Mossberg 500 butt plate should fit. Maybe I've not been looking hard enough, but I never found one. The inch-think rubber
pad that came with the gun makes it just about an inch too long, hence my interest.

I've looked at gun shows and looked online, but no luck.

Believe it or not, but I fabricated one out of duct tape
would be nice to have a plastic or steelmone though.

Any ideas?

Mossberg makes a short length of pull stock, you may want to look at that. I'm presently sourcing a regular length butt stock for my 590a1. I bought it with the M4 style telescopic stock. After shooting 3" slugs and 00 buck through it, I've decided that's not an appropriate stock for a shotgun, lol. I had to go through Brownells in the States to find one. You may find something on their site.
