Default Randy Newberg-conversation questions?

If you could ask Randy Newberg any question, what would it be?

Looks like we will be having a chat with him this week. I'm a fan of his shows. He has great content and is entertaining.

And he's done lots for conservation.

But just wondering if there's something people would like to hear from him and we can ask it.

Cheers.
John

Haha, that would be great. I'd like to be a hunter host and he could help me find more spots!

I'd ask for the same but I'm sure he'd leave me in the dust still standing at the truck.

Ask him if he could move to Alberta and we figure out how to get him into Shannon Philips spot. Oh wait, he's to straight to get tangled up in politics.

I'd ask him what the course forward is. Griz hunting is banned in BC because it is "socially unacceptable", how do we as hunters reconcile with the general population that hunting is OK!

Yes the Canadian amazon prime TV question would be great to get clarification on!

Honestly I can’t think of anything he hasn’t covered in depth, between his podcasts TV and YouTube channels.

I would be interested to hear his take on how some of the conservation issues he is most concerned about and how they relate to the current Canadian model.

I'm sure we'll touch on that.
I just listened to one of his podcast episodes about an Arizona elk hunt in an area with lots of non hunters around. They used the opportunity to talk to hikers about the meat aspect of hunting, adventure, landscape advocacy, etc.

But yeah, that's the kind of thing I expect we'll cover.

That's funny. I didn't even know what Amazon Prime was until his podcast mentioned it.

He mentioned on his Elk Talk live last night that his shows will be on Amazon Prime for a few weeks at a time, then they will move them over to his Youtube channel. So, it is not really an issue that they are not on Amazon Canada, you just have to wait a bit.

Does he really know anything about Canadian/Alberta conservation issues tho?

Probably better to pick his brain on tough mountain elk hunting, and maybe how the elk migrate from summer to wintering grounds.

Randy is a very genuine person with a passion for the outdoors. In his past life he was an accountant and did my US company work for 4 or 5 years. I enjoy catching up with him whenever our paths cross and I wish him all the best!

We talked to him today.
Great guy. Covered many topics, including the BC Grizz hunt.

As for Amazon, sounds like it will never be on in Canada. Has to do with how it's managed by Amazon and who owns the rights to the content. But he plans to keep putting all the episodes up on You tube as a work around.
Which I'm glad about.

Thanks to those who gave suggestions.

Cheers
John

What are his thoughts on paid access? I'm sure he knows a lot more than anyone here on the subject. Rats!
