Default Sako or Leopold Rings?

Just bought a Tikka T3 300wsm going to put a Leopold 3x9x40 on it. I haven't decided on rings, but would like to use the factory dovetail.
I now their is alot of tikkas out there, what is every one using? Leopold? Sako - optilock? Warne?

I looked at Warnes , nice set-up but heavy. I have had good luck with Weaver bases epoxied down ,topped with Burris z rings

X2 on the Weaver bases and Zee rings, minus the epoxy. Haven't noticed any problems so far, and I'm using them on my T3 Hunter in .338.

Default Rings & Bases

I use Sako / Tikka Optiloks on all my Sako and Tikka T3 rifles. Never lost a zero setting. Pricey yes, but worth it in my books to hold my Leupold VX 2 & VX3 scopes.

The bases on the optiloks can get in the way of the eyepiece on a scope if you want to mount it as far forward as possible. I switched them out on my Sako AV for the Burris bases and signature rings. Love the setup, just as strong, lighter than the optiloks.

Default Optilock

I went the optilock route on my new / used Sako 75 Finnlight.

Burris is owned by the same company that makes Tikka and Sako. The Burris rings on your Tikka will work well. They won't break the bank either.

Thanks to all those who had replied. After talking to a respected shooting guru, my opinion on a few things changed as well as what I ended up putting on my gun. I ended up with Weaver Grand Slam steel bases, with Burris Signature Zee Rings (with offset inserts). I ended up putting a Burris Fullfield II scope on. From what I am told about Burris' quality and track record I don't think they get enough credit in the Canadian market place. Hopefully all goes well, and I will be a happy hunter. Time will tell.
