Default Tikka 300 WSM for the Jimmer

Well a few months back we bought our first Tikka for the Jimmer the previous owner said it liked 180s but would not shoot lighter bullets. We bought it anyway and it shoots decent thats till yesterday I put a load (first time using Varget on anything bigger than 243) 57gr behind a 155 gr Nosler this thing could 1 hole if I was a good enough shot also tried 55 gr behind a 165 tsx and got sub MOA results no problem I have to say I am pleased the first load will be for the jimmers non trophy antelope and his white tail the later Bison Medicine come January! the 155 gr has reduced felt recoil as well its 3 gr under max. I have a new respect for Varget and will be playing with my own 300 wsm to see what I can come up with for it

Are those 155gr. Palma match bullets?
If so, I hope you realize they are likely not the best bullet for hunting big game with.

Oh the shame Yes and I know they are not the best but the reduced recoil and the accuracy will let him get use to the tika his confidence will be un wavering and it will drop his antelope like a sack the whitetail will fair no better and if the Bison show the TSX will do what he wills faith in the rifle and shot placement will overcome the inadequecies of the bullet! I would prefer Accubonds but they did not like the reduced load.
