936 Opening Day

How did everyone make out? Sure was busy!

We saw 8 elk. 2 bulls and 6 cows. No moose or deer.

After missing this morning I was grateful to get another opportunity at last light. Just getting home now!

Congrats! I have a friend who has taken an elk from there tough hunt no freebies in that zone well deserved.

3-4 years for bull or cow elk. Can get your cow moose every year I believe if you put in and then 1-2 years for a bull moose.

Go spend some time in there before you draw or think about it too much. Especially this week. It’s a hard hunt with wary animals that are a long hike in, in a zone with pretty stupid high number of tags, and plenty of more-equal pressure before the licensed seasons open. Opening day is like a war zone because everyone has scouted the same fields and herds.
