Default Heated insoles?

Who uses them?
Which ones are good?
Pros and cons?

When I'm walking through a warm store, cold feet doesn't sound so bad.
When I'm sitting in the bush waiting for a buck, now it's a problem.
I might just cave this year...

The heated socks I have are awful. You feel the wires in the socks as you are walking. I hope the insoles do not have the wires near the surface

I have the battery socks and like them. I put a thin liner sock on first. They work for sitting. Also used the hot pockets put one on top of your toes between a liner sock and a thick wool one.

I bought the Thermup brand heated insoles on Amazon in 2020. I love them. Used them for working outside and for hunting. I wouldn’t go hunting in cold weather without them. I find it hard to think clearly with frozen feet.

I bought heated socks from Amazon couple years ago. Makes it easier to do all day sits. I have to swap the batteries just past half way through the day.

I bought a pair of the highest rated heated insoles off Amazon a few years ago. Some Chinese brand.

They worked great. I got almost 3 seasons out of them before the one died. I'd guess I used them/recharged them upwards of 100x before they bit the dust. No more than $60/pair.

I'm about to grab a new set of the Thermacell ones to start this November tree stand season.

** I'll never go without them again. Huge advantage for late season. And the insoles were zero issue when walking -- even multiple km's in a day.

Now you can get the little 8 hr temporary heaters in the shape of an insole. I picked up a few at peavey mart, but haven’t tried them yet. $2.50 per pair.

I have the Thermocell ones. They work really well but IMO are not comfortable with to walk in. They work great for sitting in a stand or blind though.

If you don't have far to walk into your stand consider using an antique foot warmer that was used in a sleigh or buggy. They use charcoal briquettes and are good for a few hours. Easy to add more briquettes too. They'll keep your feet warm. If you throw a blanket over your legs the heater will keep your legs warm too. Easy to make one or buy one at an antique store.

Here's a little write up on them.

A good reminder that old technology still works. A can with some holes, some briquettes and a blanket….

I borrowed a friend’s heater body suit
I threw a couple of the disposable warmers in the bottom it was crazy that i was able to sit a long time.
My heated insoles are terrible they don’t stay in place.

I tried a couple pairs but finally found some that work. This will be my second year using Thermrup Electric heated insoles. Another fellow posted about these last year. My feet always freeze and these actually helped quite a bit. I ordered another pair this year just as a backup as they are made in China.. lol You can order them off amazon

I have the briquettes from a hand warmer that I had back in the day, those were so awesome when doing mid-winter flyer deliveries. Have no idea where the case went, though... Lost in the mists of time... Oh well, similar stuff is available on Amazon now too.
