Default Fork Lake

Any word on how Fork Lake is this winter? I've fished Fork Lake regularly for 15 years and up until 3 or 4 years ago did well with Perch and small Pike, but since then the fishing seems to have really dropped off.

We have a lake lot there but haven't been there yet this winter. Plan on going for last weekend of March and also trying Cold lake for trout.
There are still lots of small jack there in the summer if you know the spots but I haven't caught a legal one there for probably 3 years.

I actually have a lot there too. Which side of the lake are you on?

Thanks, Steve. I might end up out there this weekend as well.

Salty, we're at the northeast end of the lake, just south of the Rich Lake store. I used to do well for Perch near "Rock Island", and well for Pike off the shore of the big collapsing barn on the shore across from the subdivision. The water levels are terrible, though. The small bay next to the highway is now completely closed off from the rest of the lake.

Kreator, never dropped a line by rock island but I know there is fairly deep water there .
For jack I have the best luck on the west side point of the forks in about 8 - 10 feet water, in the winter i have caught perch on the west side out from the park near the log house.
Let me know during the summer when you go up and I 'll buy you a "pop"
