My remote control will shut itself from time to time without warning. I replaced the button battery. Recently, after several hours working, it shut off then showed a lock icon which disappeared when I shut off the power to the V-Power bow-mount for 15 seconds then went back to normal.

Any guesses or knowledgeable responses to my problem?

Mine was randomly shutting off as well. Carefully adjusted the little metal connector that touches up against the battery and that solved it. it just wasnt making a solid connection. May not be your issue but an easy thing to try.

Found the problem; loose ground wire at the batteries. Always the simplest thing to overlook. Also found water in the front portion of the hull. Wonder what the zebra mussel guys would think of that if they wanted to pull my batteries for inspection.
