Nice job Bessie. Looks like a great hunt in the wide open spaces!

Boyd's store is still on Google Earth for those that didn't get to see it before it burnt.
Could meet a nicer gentlemen.

The good folks at Orion and surrounding area had a work bee and rebuilt the Store for Boyd.
There are excellent people in that corner of Alberta.
Oh! I also forgot..... we saw a Kit fox there too!
Really cool little critter.

Not too many of the kit Foxes around there any more. There were a few that got run over shortly after they were released there.

Absolutely right about the people in the area.
I haven't seen a Kit fox or a sage grouse yet after many trips there.
I should spend some time there when not focused on hunting just to explore the area better.

Great post and pics. Thanks
Got one for my buddy on Monday near Med Hat. Such a nice day to be out on the prairie. We passed up about 15 smaller bucks and then found a shooter. Saw around 85 antelope in total in the two days.

Did you see the burrowing owls? They were very close to where you shot your pronghorn.

No... but as I was stalking... I noticed to craziest ‘burrow city’ kind of construction.
What the hell would have created it?
I should have taken a picture.... but I was focused on getting blood on my hands.

Thank you
Thanks for sharing. Super excited to head out tomorrow for my first antelope hunt. Going for non-trophy this year and the plan is trophy next year, archery the year after. Great pictures. Great story. Great hunt. Thanks Bessie!
