Default Project Axis Roughtech

Was bored so I grabbed my son’s old Axis and decided to give it a facelift. The little gun is super accurate so I kept it for a yote gun. Cheap and fun project for anyone who has one of these guns.

I had painted the stock a few years back and used some webbing spray so it already had a coat of paint on it. Sand it and spray it with the rough touch paint.

Now it actually looks pretty nice and has a great grippy kind of feel to it.

Looks great.

Looks awesome Kurt, darn near the same coating as a Remington Bell Carlson Stock.

Is the paint called Rough Tech?

Nice looking set up.

At first by the title I thought you took a Savage Axis and Sako A7 Roughtech Pro and made a new one rifle.

Nice! I've heard doing the cheap carbon fiber arrow forend mod and the spray foam in the buttstock can do wonders for the feel.

Heaven no, nothing that big!

It’s a 243

You might be happy to know there was a deal on a 270wsm that I couldn’t pass up though.
