Default Suffield Draw - Good Luck

Good luck to everyone who is putting in for the draw. Here's hoping only the ones going and are in need of meat get drawn.

Well call me stupid, but as per usual im confused.

this line

"Your information is displayed in the first row and cannot be removed or edited. If there are others joining you, click Add more members to enter their WIN # and Date of Birth."

Is this for my helper? or more of a "Partner license application"
I understand that only 2 tags are available per application.

Would the WIN# added still be able to apply? or should i just leave this blank and bring a helper if i get drawn?

Default Tags and a partner

I believe you are allowed to bring a non hunter with to help with loading the elk into the truck, but do you have to enter that person entered as a partner on AB Relm??? Just curious. Can I apply solo and have just anybody come with????

Good luck drawing and happy eating.

Are you better off applying solo or as a group? I understand it puts both of your names in, What if you both get drawn do you get 4 tags? If one of us gets drawn do we both get to hunt because we put in as a group? Tried to read up on this and i coldn't find the info.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I am checking with F&W now will get back to you as soon as I find out.I think if you put a name in as a group member than you are either both drawn or niether gets drawn and you cant enter the draw seperatly.

It is no different than any other draw...except you can only enter as a pair for this one and not more....

Its all or nothing if you enter a group...all are picked or none.

If you plan on sharing enter as individuals, statistically better chance one will be drawn.

If you apply as a Group you get two tags and the right to have two shooters.

If you apply as Solo you can bring a helper but only the tag holder can shoot.

Or thats how I interpret it?

NO as a group you EACH get 2tags (4 total), there are no partners or tags splitting for this hunt!

Right and Wrong.....

If you apply as a group of two.....you get four tags (two tags each)...and yes two shooters.

You are correct about applying solo.

Application done!
Applied as Solo and my partner will do the same hoping at least one of us will be drawn. (really about getting chance to get some Elk meat) don't really care who gets to shoot it in this case we will share the spoils If the luck is with us twice.

1- Need to get drawn
2- Need to find Elk to shoot :-)

Not sure which is harder in this case.
Funny that now Bow hunters are allowed.

Which site exactly did you guys use to apply? I was going to apply online but can't seem to get to actual application site. Started on Alberta Relm, then My Wild Alberta. I admit i'm computer illiterate but I did apply online in the past, just can't figure this one out. Thanks.

Application was easy .
GUYS If you enter a second person ,You are in fact applying for them to be drawn for tags if you are lucky enough to have your win picked.
No need to enter a second person as a helper only .
I figure applying separately doubles your chance at a draw , If either you or your hunting partner get drawn ,you still have 2 tags .

When did they change that? When I applied at 9:00 it said no archery.

Soooo wish I could go! I have no scoped gun ATM, though. If anyone wants to partner from South Calgary, I'd be happy to split costs and do more than my share of lifting (34yo, healthy. 1st year hunter--no deer success this year. Have a PAL. Somewhat limited time. I don't flake out on a commitment.).

Otherwise, have fun everyone. I'll make it out there another year.
