south calgary range?

i live in Lake Chapparal In calgary just off 194Ave SE. All day i have been hearing gun shots straight out the the west. Is there a gun range out that i am not aware of?

that is east...the sound is on the west side of mcleod..There is a range a dewinton is there not?

Could be shot guns from upland and waterfowl hunters. Those seasons are open and there are lots of canals, windrows, and ponds out that way. Lots of ducks and geese from what I hear too.

Could be that. Or it could be the dewinton shotgun range. Check the Alberta Hunter Education Instructors Association website for shoot details.

i know people shooting geese in the barley feilds right where you're talking about.

There is a rifle range in Shepard, but I'm guessing if you're hearing it west it could be a Dewinton range or possibly someone out shooting a good shoot of ducks/geese close to the city?

It's DeWinton shotgun range. The wind has to blow right but on clear nights it's there.

I think you can cross the Shepard Range off your list of possibilities ... it's too far 'East' of you.
