For what it's worth...I am a 5'2" mom, and I've been stuck by myself a couple times....I always have a "calf sled" strapped to the back of my quad. Once I take something down, then I gut it and roll it into the calf sled and then use trees to help pull the slide up onto the back (I've used the winch to help). One time I got a big buck (200lb +)...which proved to be tricky that time because he was too big for the calf sled....lol.
. I'm with you, I don't take the time to do anything but gut, load and get out. However, my first choice is always to have a hunting partner (who is usually my hubby) in the area....lol
