Hunting ptarmigan in Northern BC

As my planned trip to the Yukon won't happen this year due to the self-isolation imposed to everyone except BC residents, I may still be going in the same direction if I could find some open tundra in Northern BC similar to the scenery of the picture shown.
This is someone else hunting ptarmigan with his Musterlander from a camp in the Spatsizi Wilderness.



Anybody would know of an area in Northern BC accessible by road that has good ptarmigan habitat? thanks

Closest I know of to what you are looking for would be 2 ATV access spots south of Huston BC

BC for the most part restricts motor vehicle access to the Alpine so access to ptarmigan is not easy to come by

Why aren’t you going to the Yukon ? They’ve approved all Canadians now

I would gladly go, but no, even in Phase3, the Yukon isn't open to everybody...

Who does not have to self-isolate when they arrive in Yukon
You do not have to self-isolate when you arrive in Yukon if you're a resident of:

Yukon;
British Columbia;
Northwest Territories; and
Nunavut.
Upon arriving in Yukon, residents of these 4 regions have to:

prove they’re a resident by showing valid identification; and
complete a declaration to confirm they have not travelled outside of Yukon, British Columbia, Northwest Territories or Nunavut in the 14 days before they enter Yukon.

When you will have to self-isolate
You'll have to self-isolate if:

you're not a resident of 1 of these 4 regions; or
you've travelled outside of these regions in the last 14 days.

Aren’t you going into the bush to hunt ? That’s considered self isolating now.
All the outfitters there have been given the green light to go, that’s what they’re doing.
And you can leave to come home before the 14 days is up, only if you stay is the full 14 days mandatory.
I’ve been in the Yukon twice in the last 3 weeks, it has not been an issue

I’ve been in the Yukon twice in the last 3 weeks, it has not been an issue

I would be travelling in my camper with no fixed camp, a few days here and there so that doesn't seem to fit the requirement. People going to a mining or hunting camp seem to qualify.
