Default Income Tax History??

Good day,
Hope everyone’s fall is going well.
So here’s today’s question.
Is there a way, not too complicated, to find out how much income tax you’ve paid over your lifetime? I’ve searched a bunch, with no results.
Any direction is appreciated.
Ken

Not that I know of, unless you have your tax files from the beginning. If you order a CPP contribution history you can see your annual income since you started working and what your CPP contributions were. From that you can make a pretty good guess at what you paid for tax every year.

Can you see all the way back to the beginning for Income tax? or maybe I should ask how many years. I know I can't see back to the late 60s on mine, last time I looked I could only see 7 years.

You can file an access to information under the privacy act for that information.

I’ve kept every income tax returns from 1988- 2018. Could just go through it and add up total tax paid every year. Not sure I want to know the total LOL.
