Default AHEIA to Provide Firearms Safety Courses

The following is an excerpt from the Justice Canada News Release of 2002 June 6:

"The Alberta Hunter Education Instructors' Association (AHEIA) has entered an agreement with the Canadian Firearms Centre (CFC), to provide firearm safety courses throughout Alberta.

"Effective September 1, 2002, AHEIA will be the sole organization responsible for the delivery of Canadian Firearm Safety Courses (CFSC) and Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Courses (CRFSC) in Alberta. All current instructors will be offered membership in AHEIA, allowing them to continue teaching the firearms safety course in the province and maintain their designation."
