Default Elk hide?

I brought my elk hide to edmonton fur tanners back in september and i finally got the rug back, lets just say its alot bigger then what i thought it would be. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do with or where to put it? Please post pics if you have anything...

could use it to wrap the pedestle base for a mount ! Seen it done lots with zebras skin and african mounts, but the elk would look cool ! Thats pricey ! i gott mine tanned a few years ago, no hair on and it was 250 ish ! which i thought was expnsive !

That isn't too bad. Not great, but still better then the yahoo in Coaldale who quoted me +-1K!!!! I laughed and said I only wanted it tanned, not trimmed with velvet and sewn with gold thread.

You ever watch little Big Man? He had his wife and her two sisters under his elk hide all in the same night. It might have even been three sisters, it's been a while since I have watched it.

Wife and 3 sisters if I recall. I thought it was buffalo robe they were under. Classic movie. A good line comes larter in the movoe when Little Big Man's nemesis brags that he has a wife and four horses. LBM replies "I have a horse and four wives"
