Default Ted Nugent's Spirit Of The Wild

Just saw this on youtube and thought I'd share Ted's pronghorn hunt.

Wished we had a spokesperson as enthusiastic as that.

Enjoy... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jymrYI7aoqE

Ted lost my support when I found out that he's a poacher.

Yeah, I seriously don't think he meant to bait deer illegally. Why would someone break the law on purpose and put it on video that's meant for broadcast.

It was likely an act of ignorance that he is guilty of and he did plead no contest. He owned up, manned up and took his licks.

He's still Uncle Ted.

I think the sport has a lot better spokesmen than Ted.

Used to like his guitar work, but he is off my "sportsman" list , in fact , he's not even on my "wish to discuss his hunting" list anymore!!!

I have one season of the spirit of the wild on DVD, Ted shoots a few nice looking animals, and it's cool that he is a supporter of hunters rights and what not! But I don't know if I like the fact that every hunt he has on his video takes place on a ranch! Not my thing!

Hes a "poacher", cant read his articles in magazines or take him seriously anymore, yeah he was being ignorant thinking he wouldnt get charged or anyone would pick up on his poaching because hes "uncle ted".....yeah he took his licks, but thats because video evidence is hard to fight, we all seen it! his "licks" are probably way less than the average person would have faced...that being said, he still does alot for the sport and thats way more than a regular "poacher" would do, which is absolutely nothing......

Two of my brothers in the states still can't even point out alberta on a map even after being here, but they can tell you they are dying to come up to hunt here and a big reason is Ted.

And enjoyed that clip, don't think I've ever seen a show with animal hit by a bow just fall over like that before.

Larry D. Jones, Dwight Schuh, Byron Furguson to name a few.
They have more class than The Detroit guy will ever have.

toxey haas, michael waddell, and will primos could go on the list. chuck adams likely belongs there too. if you like the more enthusiastic type, you could make a case for fred eichler....his inclusion of family....even the wee little guys is admirable. when he had a 3 year old fire an arrow into the bush and then go in to find a dead pig....that is what hunting ought to be about.

Ted is awesome. He fights for all the things most people on this board believe in. I wish we had a Ted Nugent in Canada to take on all the pinko liberal freaks who want to take our guns away and ban hunting. C'mon ladies, he's on our side! As for the breaking the laws, of course I'm not into that but he owned up and took his punishment. Overall, he's great in my books!

Who said they had to from the south of the border? I think we can stand up on our own and defend ourselves. If we don't we dam sure are going to lose it all.
Heck I can name 2 dozen people on this board that I think would be better than the motor city loudmouth.

Don't care for his music ( other than Cat Scratch Fever ! ) But I do admire anyone who will stand up in public and say '' the only good child molester is a dead child molester ''
He's got my vote...

I have definately never hunted in Texas! I don't see a point in shooting a whitetail with a body as small as a Vancouver island blacktail, with a rack the size of a 300 pound Alberta whitetail! Where I hunt, is either public land, or private land I have to get permission to hunt! No high fences! I'm not saying I think they should get rid of the ranches and make them illegal! I'm just saying it's not my thing! If I pay for a hunt, it's gonna be in the mountains!

What, you won't stand up in public and say it? Why not?

Didn't know tha Byron Furguson got kicked out of his hunting club cause he was 2 years behind in paying his annual dues and insisted he didn't have to keep all the rules of said club , did you .. Figured it was OK for him to shoot fork horn whitetails when the rule was 4 points on at least one side ..loser ! Iknow the guy that booted him out of camp and he's lucky all he got was a boot .

Absolutely...I would say it.
But I'm far from being a politically correct person.
It's far from common to hear someone (publically) saying " I don't like incarcerated criminals...I like dead criminals''
He says what many think but few will say..
Kinda like me around here

Yup old Nuge is definitely one of the coolest old rednecks that ever lived.. Doesn't care what people think tells it like it is in his mind anyways.. Has done more to try and bring hunting into the main stream than most x 10.. Shot a deer over a bait when He shouldn't have,, bah,, hope it tasted good...

Ted for pres x 4....

Seems I go against the grain more often than not.
Not intentionally, but the reactions show this.....oh well got fairly thick skin.
Probably will still disagree with the Ring Leaders once in awhile...
