Default Trail cam brands

What is everyone using for trail cams these days. I would like to set a few out on a quiet little section of land that has low traffic. But I don’t want to drop to much on something that will get stolen by 2 legged critters.

I have a Cuddeback Attack Black Flash IR. Takes good photos night and day, but the video mode doesn't work... Might need a software update, but cant seem to find a usb cable with two "male" ends on either side.

I prefer to use the Uway / Ridgetech brand. Takes good pictures both during the day and night. I have had a few problems but they were easily fixed with a software upgrade. The one that could not be repaired was quickly replaced under warranty. They are a sponsor here as well.

I used to run Bushnell's but had nothing but problems and poor tech support.

Can't beat Moultrie I found out put them in places where no one will find them if you put them on fence lines and very obvious lines walk in a hundred yards haven't had any trouble in 10 years

I have a Simmons, a wildgame innovations, 2 primos and a moultrie. I paid around $40 each. I only spend what I'm willing to lose. They vary in megapixels from 5 and up. They all take good quality pictures. I wouldn't necessarily worry about brand names. Pay what you are willing to lose if somebody decides they need it more than you. Place them off main trails. Pay attention to sun direction. Put them at 45 degree angles off the trail instead of 90 degrees to give a wider field of view of the trail. Climb up and point them down. Make it as hard as possible for people to get at them.

Out of the 3 brands I use (stealthcam, moultrie, and browning) I prefer the browning cams any day. Not only are they cheaper... they don’t miss pictures like the other ones do.

I have used Moultrie, Spypoint, ridgetec, bushnell, Wildgame innovation and Simmons trail cams. I think best bang for your buck is Spypoint for sure, great cameras, fast trigger speed and super long battery life; the night pictures are average, but for the price IMO, you cannot beat them.

In my experience, stay away from, Wild game Innovations , had one of there camera's in summer conditions change from green camo to white, stood out from 300 yards, good thing it was on family land, or it would been long gone, they would not return my emails about this issue, sent 5 emails, companies need to stay in touch with clients to make sure there are happy with what ever they produce,

I have a stealth cam and spy point, and very proud of them. My first ones were the Terra 6 pack of 2 by Wild Game Innovations, and they are crap. They're good for a cheap camera but have missed lots of action and have only caught blanks after the animal passed or just their butts.

Nothing but good things to say about my Uway. Good pics, runs forever on AA batteries, even in the cold. Good videos, mic pics up everything.

Wow I cant believe you guys like Uway.. I had 4 and they among the worst cameras I have ever used.

I have a Reconyx and 8 bushnells.. and I would say that the bushnells are every bit the same quality photo and video as my reconyx.

Can anyone who likes and uses a UWAY post a day and night picture? Id like to see what your seeing, vs my photos.

Cheers

Not sure if there the best but for what I need and paid well worth it. Being down south I don't get too many "grass" pics which is nice

I like my Spypoint Mini. Takes clear pictures and the battery life is amazing.

I have a LTL Acorn cellular.Works great ,but you do have to check for cell service,it only takes about 1 minute to recieve the picture.I have a long cord antenna for it,but it doesn"t work in the bottom of a coulee.I have bin very happy with it.
