Nice job on the testing, very thorough. Then you & your daughter both fill a lever tag. Then a cow elk.......and it's video'd for you & us forever.

Thanks a bunch. Very well done!

Outstanding video, start to finish. I was very impressed with the effective kill on the elk. Seeing is believing. I appreciate all the work you did in putting that together, and especially the fine ammo comparisons. There were certainly some surprises there with the cup and cores. I didn't expect to see total seperation at 30-30 velocities. Nice shooting too.

Excellent presentation. Thanks for that. And yes, the FTX Leverevolution is a standard load for myself and a friend. Bad medicine in a 30/30.

Well done both the video and the hunt, the vulnerable 30-30 was and is a fine hunting cartridge when used at appropriate ranges.

My 30-30 marlin is my favorite tree stand rifle. Short, nice to swing, and plenty of thump for close quarters bush hunting

Very well documented and good on you for showing your daughter what all goes into it. It’s pretty cool to see such in depth testing. I used to do similar less informal testing so I really enjoyed this.

Great work and it looks like you are in excellent habitat.

Just an excellent video - scenes and narration.

Felt like I was part of the experience. Amazing living an adventure experience through your lens.

Big thumbs up to both you and your daughter.

Default 30-30

My 82 year old hunting partner brought out his model 94 30-30 for moose and elk hunting this fall. I called him John Wayne all fall, after seeing that cow elk go down with one shot at 300 yards, I now need to eat crow with him.
PS Very good well done you tube study!

Well done Brobee.
You have given us more valuable and enjoyable content in 86 posts than most of Us with 10,000+.

With your meticulous nature and willingness to put in great effort towards firearms, ammunition and the start of a hunt and then soapmaking,
Why aren't you butchering your own animals?

I'm surprised you didn't dig into that shoulder to retrieve the bullet, if it is there.

If you find that bullet in a roast, would you use that butcher again?

Well done sir!

Lots of 3030 history in my family. My trapper son has probably killed 10 moose with a Savage single shot.

Excellent shot on the elk btw.
