Default Spotting Scope EyePiece?

Angled or straight eyepiece for prairie hunting. Which do you prefer?

I prefer a straight eyepiece for spotting while hunting, but on the range II prefer an angled eye[piece

I prefer angled, for everything except using with a window mount.

I prefer a angled spotting scope for everything except shooting off a bench and if using a window mount. I use my straight eyepiece spotting scope for those situations.

I agree. Also prefer straight at the range. When I was young and spent a lot of time in the mountains I had two scopes, now I just run a straight one for all uses.

When my son and I upgraded a number of years back to a pair of Swaro’s. He wanted the straight and I wanted the angle. Within a couple of years he continues to borrow mine. It did take me awhile how to quickly set up and get use to it on a window mount.

For years I ran a straight...I attached it to a skeletonized diy stock w all the hardware to attach to a tripod...loved it. Keeping the stock in the shoulder allowed me to spot just like using a scope on my rifle and aided in steadiness. Now I have an angled scope as well and find I grab it more than often when doing target work.often using my phone on the scope view......both have thier own advantage, don't think you'll go wrong either way.

Angled is tough in the mountains when looking up and down steep slopes. I prefer the easy target acquisition of a straight eye piece.

The reason I use an angles eyepiece at the range is I typically shoot with sling and irons, and it is easier on my neck with the angled eye piece as opposed to the straight

I prefer angled for everything. Including a window mount because I can rotate the spotter to look ahead and behind the vehicle. Unfortunately my current swaro is straight and while it irritates me I can deal with it.
