The one woman for the NDP already commented on campaigning against pipelines from Alberta.

Premier Notley must be very scared right now.

What we need is some solid advice from Albertans on how to manage a stable economy and elect an effective government.

This is really something. The green party had 3 people elected, and they have more power then the liberals with 43 and the ndp with 41. You just know someones going to cross the floor.

The Conservative party in BC imploded earlier this year. The leader resigned, then ran again only to win but then have jis nomination recalled cause it didn't follow party rules. They couldn't get people to run in many ridings; They are a mess

BC liberals = conservative in everything but name. The BC libs even sport the conservative blue rather than red.

BC libs run on a platform pretty much identical to what any other conservative party would. Pro business, pro privatization, anti-union. Won't help to vote spit the right wing vote just so a party exists with "conservative" in the name.

They have no need for Cons in BC - they have a well funded inbred party controlled by old Socreds from beyond the grave and old Harperites that are still walking - they call themselves the Liberal Party of BC.

Con Cons don't do well there anymore - they have a hard time dealing with the diversity in BC - or maybe the diversity has a hard time dealing with them?

Only 'diversity' here is in the lower-waste-land. Don't lump us all together.

Angry Yikes !

.

It was a 'nail biter' for sure, but unless the recounts and absentee ballots change things (it's possible!),
BC now has a Liberal 'Minority' Government.

CTV's take on things ... http://www.ctvnews.ca/business/b-c-e...ance-1.3407123

The Lower Wasteland is indeed "special" - but the Greenies have a lot of "special" people too - and they polled surprisingly well everywhere.

Building a fence around the Lower Wasteland won't save you now.

Anyone that voted for a conservative in BC should have understood that they may as well just give their vote to the NDP.
Unfortunately the conservatives ran enough candidates and pulled in enough votes in those riding's that it may have ensured a minority government.
Either way, if it does end up being a minority, the thought of a pipeline is dead in the water.......

No it isn't, Kinder Morgan does not need BC's approval, it is a Federally Regulated pipeline and it has received Federal approval.

The right won't rise again anywhere likely until the 40 and under crowd realizes that life isn't a free ride. Until that time, if ever, politics the world over will remain in a left hand spin. Not saying that you won't see the odd anomaly like present day Saskatchewan, but globally the right is in a world of hurt.

Arrow Final Election Results Still Pending !

With the absentee ballots not counted yet, and one (or more) ridings going to a 'recount' ... It's Not Over Yet!

The Globe And Mail gives a good rundown ... http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/...ticle34943234/

Fingers still crossed

You are dreaming if you think it will go through if the NDP/Green end up running BC.

Lets hope Trudeau has some balls.

EVERY SINGLE work site will be a protest point with the government urging them along (if it's NDP/Green). If it's Liberal/Green it will be almost the same, as the Greens are 100% against Kinder Morgan and if the Liberals work to let it progress, the Greens will join the NDP and take over the government.
It's only hope is a Liberal majority.

Exclamation It's not over yet . . .

The second phase of the ballot counting in BC starts with the absentee ballots on Monday, and then after that they'll do the recounts. We may not know the 'Final' results of the BC election until later next week.

Who will form the BC government (Lib or NDP), and will it be a majority government, or a minority government ... Who Knows?!?!

Vancouver Sun Article; http://vancouversun.com/news/politic...-starts-monday

The nail biting continues

That isn't a surprise considering how corrupt they are, at least in BC. What is more amazing is that people will still vote for the Liberals [cons/socreds] all but sanctioning the govt being bought and paid for my large corporations.
