Default One day, three bears

The woman in first pic killed her first bear. The other two pics are grizzlies. All killed with 10 minutes of the house

Lots of bears in your neighborhood. The claws on the smaller grizzley are incredible. Congrats on your hunt.

O.K, someone has to ask, so I'll jump in and take the plunge....................
Where in the heck did you get the grizzlies? You say ten minutes from your house, but you location is listed as Calgary. Was that a guided hunt, and if so, what area? Still have one of the great bears on my bucket list.

Middle bears hide looks pretty skimpy, think I'd have saved a bullet.

Grizz

Bears were shot across the fence in the west Kootenays. The hunters were a group of 5-6 and they were drawn for three g bears. There are a lot around here. I see more than I see deer.

Default Mob

This mob look posed. They were behind the community hall. This pic was taken last October. Poor old momma looked pretty tired from the antics of her brood.

Default One more

This one is last fall on a trail cam about 12 minutes from the house. same with cat. Four dogs are missing over the winter. Lots of wolves around. Maybe the cat got one or two as well.

Some great pics, there! Seems like there's lots of predator traffic in your neck of the woods.

Congrats to the successful hunters!

Taxidermists charge the same for a mediocre hide as a Prime one.

Yes, you are right. There are some moose around and a few elk but almost zero deer. There is also supposed to be some caribou here. I have seen 3 in 16 years and that is 3 more than most people have seen. I can't guess what all the wolves eat here. I have seen more wolves than deer.
