Stopped at their store, lights were off, the sign said they were open 9:00 - 5:00 but no one home, went into the Pot Shop next door .... they said the owners truck hadn't been here all week & didn't know where he was.

You would think the owner would put a sign on the door advising people he was away, there was nothing ..... not a smart way to run a business.

Was pleased to help you out ... was hoping they were open, wanted to check out their W/W's or other components.

The next time I drive by I'll stop again and see if they're open or not.

Cheers

He is out there and fine. If any of you are on Facebook groups, Alberta fishing buddies or Alberta fishing addicts he is very active.

So I did some research and talked to the person that I thought owned the place but turns out he does not any longer so I guess I was out of that loop. He said his ex partner was carrying on but didn't know what is up. Didn't sound surprised when I mentioned this post so you can take it how you like.

I hope another small business doesn’t go under. The product that I was looking for is also sold at Cabela’s but would rather give my business to a small local business. I make a point of supporting locally even if it costs me a few bucks. But it normally doesn’t. This company actually hand delivered my last purchase. Iam sure Cabela's wouldn’t have

Had to go out this afternoon, stopped at the store again, sign says their open, but no lights on, looked in the windows place is fully stocked, nice & neat and no one lying on the floor, it's obvious something happened. Sad to see a business closing like this just before X-Mass.

Will stop by again next week & see if there's any new activity.

Strange , I bought two or three jaw jackers from them online last year and never had an issue , shipping was fast and it was the cheapest I could find them anywhere in Canada.

Too bad. When I discussed with Paul the former yesterday he seemed pretty dissappointed on some of the comments on the shop after his former partner took over things. He put a lot of time and effort to get things going and get customers to support them.

After we finished fishin this afternoon, Scott & I went to check out the store after we seen a Facebook post by the owner advising everything is on Sale! The place was open, spoke to owner, seemed to be a nice fella, told him people were getting concerned he was done, we were advised he plans on downsizing & staying in Sylvan as well he may be moving & opening another store. I concluded based on the uncertainty he doesn't really know what he's doing.

Depending on what you may need, he's discounting stuff 25% or more. I bought some braid line for $9.00 for my two 13 Fishing Black Betty's and this new fishin hat for $20.00

He's got a couple of demo augers he's selling cheep, check out his website.

See ....

D.

Great news that they've got plans in the works. I've never been to the store, but we enjoy fishing Sylvan, so I'll have to pop in sometime in the new year...
