Default Roosta Hunt

Annual family Roosta hunt with my Dad and younger Bro's....Got a say lots of birds around this year, the weather was unreal but the wind made for some tough shots...the habitat this year is outstanding and should make for a good couple years I would think....crik.jpg

No not as many as we would have liked, Roosters out numbered hens 3 to 1 at least...but saw enough not to be overly concerned

Yes sir the Goldens are a pleasure to hunt with, these are my step moms dogs and she has done a great job raising and trainning them, I'd tell you where we were but I would have to forfit my **** to the boys....

Thanks for the reply Blackpheasant. I fully understand about the hunting location. My 4 year old female Golden is an excellent Upland Game and Water dog and this can be attributed to a good bloodline and of course good training. Great all around dog like many other breeds but unfortunately too many Golden's are bred for show and not so much for sport anymore. We do have some very good Breeder's around though who are keeping these strong bloodlines going. Best of luck to you for the remainder of the hunting season!
