Default The Mrs. got er started!!

My wife had been wanting to get out and fill a supp tag for some time now, but due to work, kids, school, etc. we have not been able to get too serious about it. We went for a few drives, but no good oppertunities. We are both holding off on bucks til mid - November ( we both want to top our biggest from years past ) but we still wanted to make some hambuger and get some fresh tenderloins.

Well, first doe down tonight! We went out to a really good spot I have permission on, saw three does and a young buck, but no really good shots, then a little while later, in a corner of another field this doe gave her a perfect broadside shot at just over 100 yards. Nicely done, Tonya!

Its nice to have some good fresh meat hanging in the shed! Oh, yeah, and I shot a ruffie with my .22 about 10 minutes before we got the doe, so we both had success this evening!

Nice doe. I always wondered about whether it is legal to shoot upland game birds with a single projectile? I know people have hunted grouse that way for years but I was under the impression that single projectiles were illegal for upland bird hunting. Just wondering. I will check the regs again.

Congrats on some fine eating there. Single projectiles are illegal for migratory.
