Looking to get some furs tanned. Anyone have any recommendations. Don't really want a year long turn around. Thanks

I'm trying Western Fur Tannery in Edmonton for the first time. Dropped off 2 lynx and 2 wolves in February. They told me they would be 3-4 months. I think they might be a little expensive but have heard good things about them. Taxidermist uses and recommended them.

We dropped off 1 fox, 2 beaver and 2 coyotes November 9th at Western Fur Tannery in Edmonton and they called Friday 12 April (about 5 months) we'll get the final bill today. My wife started tanning some when we saw what it was going to cost, but it is a very time consuming process, we are expirimenting with some automation.

Yes, Brian B. that white terrier was called "Snowballs" up to his last visit to the vet.
Now the first "S" is silent.

Poor little noballs. He'll soon forget about them. Nice eating elk and by the looks at that red dot behind the front leg a sweet shot too!

Where abouts is your trapping area Swedforelk? It looks like you got a pile of wolves there and it looks like you have had a lot of fun. Thanks for the pics

Default Spring Trapping winding down

Well, I can sadly see the light at the end of the tunnel. Another Trapping season is quickly coming to a close. Rats are done, they really turned up the fighting last week, and I pulled my remaining sets. Exceeded my goal of 200 rats by quite a bit ending up with 243 when the smoke cleared. Next year with some more traps, and luck I hope to skin over 400 of the fiesty little critters. I really have an appreciation for the numbers guys like Brian put up now....I can catch them, but I could never find the time to skin and stretch 1000 rats...not yet anyways, need more experiance. Still beaver trapping hard, purging the sloughs and creeks I usually trap. Just waiting for the big water to open up so I can make the final push. Hoping to get over 60 beavers this spring. Here are a couple pictures, a nice pull of giant rats, and one of the bigger beavers I have ever skinned.
