Default Deer calls, don't leave home without one!

The other day I took a rifle out for a walk, trying to figure where I might be able to ambush a big white-tail my brother-in-law had seen a few times along a highway.

This young doe came out on the trail and didn't like the looks of me so went into the bush. A few doe bleats on my call made her feel at ease and she came out to visit.

I had a supplemental permit in my pocket but chose not to use it this day.

Were you using a mouth call or "the can"?

I use a "can" quite often, it seems to settle them down.

I have a call that is a "buck grunt" if you just blow on it but you can place a finger over a soft rubber area and change the pitch to make it sound like a "doe bleat"

I also use the "Eastman Deer Talk" call.
