Default Opening day elk success!

My boy got it done on his first ever elk a couple hours ago!
Just a little spike, but Conner is jacked!

Got it done today solo. It was my first day in Elk camp I found one that wanted to play. Called this guy in to 20 yards. It was a very long day of butchering and packing out meat. The old body is feeling it that's for sure. Attachment 166663

Wow, way to go!
Great lung shot. Tons of amazing meat for the freezer.
No small feat on your own

My fiancé was able to arrow her first whitetail last night. There was some excitement in the blind to say the least.

He came by a couple minutes before last light and she made a great quartering away shot at 25 yards

Oh just a clean, tall 5, with giant brows and in pristine velvet...no big deal LOL

What an awesome 1st deer with a bow...she may be spoiled now.

My first velvet got it done on the first day of the season sat for about 3 hours and it was over. Very excited to see the euro mount with the velvet on it. Will be eating good again this winter now on to the bull elk .
