Late sept northern bc help

Hi ladies/gents
I'm not a big fly fisherman but grew up doing it and have dabbled through the years. I'm heading to northern BC for a canoe elk hunt, and figured it would be a shame not to bring the fly rod. Any tips, tricks, good patterns, would be appreciated.
