I HATE doing anything with door panels, what a royal pain.

Stupid clips and retainers they use are always brittle and break.

A setup like this can be REALLY helpful though.

Could you not find a part at the autowreckers?

The seat belt stopped retracting on my Ranger and the dealership quoted me over $300 just for the part. I found one at a Vancouver wrecker for $50. Ended up being $65 once it got to me. It took less than a 1/2 hour to put in.

Well success, the door handle showed in 2 days. The fit & finish was pretty much pair with the OEM. Installed with no issue and plugged it in. Replace the inside panel & the door panel. Plugged everything in, turned the key on & everything works perfectly.

I am happy & hopefully it stands up to the use.

Things to remember, tape the window in the up postion ( if you do not the window is bolted to the inside panel and if not taped it will drop and omg 😫.) Last thing, teach the GF it is a door handle & not a 500 door that needs to be yarded on.

Good luck!

I've told my wife dozens of times that she doesn't have to shut the door like she's trying to push it through the other side of the car.
