Default This is what happened to my line

I had a small line, about a township. The line east of me was not trapped for many years and I made a deal with the owner to buy it. When we went to F&W office, the officer said to me, you want the whole country, no deal. So I sold the line to the trapper who had the line south of me. I later find out the trapper south of me also bought the line I wanted to buy. Now 3 smaller lines were made into one larger one or maybe the new owner had 3 lines. The officer and the trapper who got my line were drinking buddies.
When I tell this story to present day officers, they ask who the officer was and say Oh he did not stay with the department very long.
This was in the 80`s I sold the line with 12x16 good cabin for four thousand.
I kept my equipment

That's brutal, but it's the way it is. It's not what you know, it's who you know. You find another line or?
