was out on nov 3,4 and seen a ton west of Rimbey. I was using a buck grunt and they were poping out on to the cut lines 100yds away to take a look. I was running out of shells by the end of the day shooting the suckers.

Seeing lots out west here but this darn deer season is ruining my coyote calling. Too many hunters out chasing deer, moose and elk right now so will wait till Dec 1 and get back at calling.

Yah I was out by hardisty and saw like ten mice, I wouldn't be suprised if half the yotes I was calling found a snack on the way and decided not to make it the full way out to where I was positioned.
John where in the west do you hunt?

Called in 3 yesterday around the Hat while I was poking around for a whitetail. Wasn't specifically targeting them, but when I would see one wandering around the prairie I would give him a shot. They weren't coming in too hard; I figure things will heat up a bit once we get some snow on the ground. Fur is already looking pretty good though.

Default luck with coyotes

Started my calling season this year on the 8th of October. Have taken 45 yotes so far. They are coming to the calls great. Have had 3 triples so far.

They seem to be in bigger groups this year. I have called in 2 triples, 1 quadruple and 2 doubles. And on the 4th of november my friend and i seen 7 yotes sneaking up behind a doe and fawn when we were deer hunting, about 10 seconds later my first buck popped out of the trees. A double lung shot with the 7mm rem mag did the trick haha.

They really seem to be keyed on stubble field, no surprise easy pickings. The only thing I have had any success with is pup in distress, almost got run over by a big female responding to it. With deer season on they get pretty spooky until it gets snowy and cold.
