Default Recovered Bullet,

Recovered bullet from my whitetail Doe, i shot this morning. The core separated from the bullet, possibly cause it took a trip though the spine.

180 grain nosler ballistic tip, factory cartridge from nosler.

I think if you would have went with the "gutless method" you could have just reached in and grabbed the tenderloins

Below is a 180gr Balllistic Tip that was recovered after it passed through both front shoulders of a bull elk. It was fired out of a 300RUM at 3340fps, and the shot distance was about 200 yards. The recovered bullet weighed 118 grains.

Nick,

You try the 168grain 30.06 rounds at all? I have found them to be a better round then the 180grains. Just my opinion of course.

nope, tried a few from a bud they where quite accurate so i bought a box, i knew they would drop a deer. the 150 grain interbonds are very accutate out of my gun as well and next season will be useing them for deer as i have 6 boxes.

i tried core locks but my gun did not like them, all over my target at 100 yards, will try power points next spring when i work on my shooting skills.

In case anyone else missed/misses that bit of info.

I agree. I use accubonds and they blow through everything. I did recover one, because it was shot into a sand pile
