Default Let's see your Aluminum boat set up

Hey guys don't know if there is a thread started but I just got a little aluminum boat to fish while camping it's a Lund A14 with a Honda 4 stroke and I need some ideas of how to rig it up. It will be on a rack on the truck so I need to keep everything at a low profile any ideas or pics would be great. I see there is one of larger boats I am interested in the tinnies

Thanks

Cool

X2 on tinboats.

Im working on mine right now. Its a 14ft aluminum, im decking it out with a small front casting deck and a couple swivel seats. At some point I will get to rod holders and cup holders but that wont be for a while. The front deck is in the process of getting waterproofed right now but I will post some pics late this week.

I wish I had a picture of when I used to haul my boat on top of my Ford Escort. More boat than car.

I run a 12' Lund with a 4.5 or a 9.9, 46# minkota trolling motor.
2 swivel seats scotty clamp on rod holders. 6 standup rod holders mounted on middle seat. I put a Hummingbird 798 C SI gps combo, and two 4" spotlights mounted in the oar locks. Top it all off with a Nautalis deep cycle marine battery.
Great for two people.

Good job on the front floor. That looks like a great spot to store the anchor. Nice casting platform/dog sitting area.

Your pooch has those sad eyes. You must have told her to get out of the boat. She looks like she would be a great fishing buddy.

Here are a few pictures of my Lund with some storage compartments. But mine is a factory floor. It might just give you a few more storage ideas.

You may want to put some non slip surface on the plywood. It might get a bit slippery when it gets wet.

If you plan it right you can put your gas tank under the floor also and gain a little more fishing room in the back. Remove the rear seat and put in two side ways at the back with storage under them.

How did you go about making your casting deck? I'm contemplating doing the same thing, but am wondering what you used to support the deck in the front? Or is nothing needed because the shape of a boat? Looking for any suggestions.

I'll take some more pics, its hard to explain it effectively.

But basically my frame is a V shape that stops at the bench seat supports and the bench seat supports make it so that the front can't slide down any further.

I'll take some pictures as Im not sure how to explain it, but there is no bracing under the deck...its all "friction fit" and Its very sturdy. I can JUMP on it and it doesn't budge.

That's what I figured - but I wasn't totally sure.
