Default Gunstock wax

My jug of Howards ran out wasn't really impressed with it, Johnson's paste wax is no longer available according to wife nobody uses paste wax on floors anymore.

There's a plethora of waxs out there what are people using?

Make your own. 1/3 beeswax, 1/3 raw linseed oil, 1/3 turpentine or mineral spirits.

Heat a small jar in hot water and stir until mixd.

Easy peasy.

Lee Valley will have something.

Default gun wax

Hey there. Windsor sells Breewax. It's made in England and has been around for years. It's an excellent product. That is all I use on my stocks that I refinish. PM if you would like to see finished products.

I've used neutral transparent shoe polish. Pretty much like Johnsons paste wax, which some people use for shoe polish Also used for bedding release agent.

Probably similar to Paste wax. Used it one time in a pinch on an occasion when I had misplaced my case lube. I didn't let it dry before sizing... Of course after finishing I found my case lube where I left it... in the kitchen! Don't remember what I was doing with it there..

I use a similar concoction.
My recipe is 1/3 bees wax, 1/3 pure tung oil, and 1/3 citrus solvent. Smells better !
