Little guy may have a tough go in deep snow. Couple years ago I seen one no bigger than that in mid November up near Meadow Lake out in the forest.

Foliage does not look at all like mid October. Mid Sept maybe. Still tiny for fall

Seen a calf moose one October that was tiny and still brown in color with his momma. Looked like not much more than a month or two old was so small.

seen one that wouldn’t reach your knees
in mid november once the doe was huge
and just the other day seen a absolutely
massive cow moose with a calf no bigger then
a average size whitetail doe and supper light in
colour i always wonder when the mommas are
so big if maybe it’s the last calf or fawn they will
have and maybe it took a few cycles for them to catch
and had a real late baby if all goes good they seem to make it
but not much room for mistakes when they are so small and
i seen these in farmland
for them to catch after being bred
