I had a HD mech tell me that its false.
What do you thinkÉ
Dam question mark is comming out as a É again!

Default use stabilizer

I have problems on farm using pumps and generators with gas left in them for 6 months so now use stabilizer in anything where gas may sit for a season. 3 months 6 months don't know when exactly it seperates or gels but gummy carbs and floats are not fun. Takes a tank full to clean them out it seems.

I remember in highschool I helped a buddy rebuild a 69 ford f100. When we took out the gas tank and dumped what little fuel was left in it it stunk the whole shop up bad. Anyways yes gas can go bad.. once you've smelled it you'll never forget!!

The unleaded sure does. I have a twin track with a quarter tank of old fuel that turned to something very similar to varnish, and it stinks. Plus it's about as flammable as grease.

We learned the hard way, if you're going to store a power saw or similar motor for more then a year, drain all the fuel out of everything, or put enough camp fuel in the tank to fill the fuel lines and carb, or you'll have a gummed up fuel system when you try to start the thing next.

We mix oil with the camp fuel, but I wouldn't recommend trying to run it on that mixture. We just drain it all out and put in regular fuel. Never had a problem since, no matter how long we store the motor.

yes gas does go bad and so does diesel although it takes alot longer for diesel, it's cheap to run fuel stabilizer through it just remember to pour it in and run it for a minute or too so the lines and carb get some.
