WHERE IS SPRING!

over 2.5M of snow this year...still snowing...still cold...still winter...

Getting pretty tired of snowshoeing for work everyday, shoveling snow, warming trucks and bad roads...Bring on the greasy melt in the North country!!!

I with you on that.

I've had enough of plowing snow every other day. The only consolation is that today's snow would have melted off by evening so it was easy to clean up the roads.

Smile Cheer up, try the gophers!

I know it is very hard for people who have to work outdoors but the gophers are up. You can tell what holes they are looking for the "steam" rising out of the open hole, or you can just look for holes with coyotes looking down them.

The .22R will work just fine.

You can shoot 60 geese a day in 9 days. The snow on the ground will make you invisible.

Keep your spirits up this could turn out great!

Just where are those motorcycle granola nuts hiding these days?

There has to be a rock or wagon rut those global warming yokels are hiding under or in.

come on guys, global warming is soooo 2008, it is now 'climate change ' much easier to have a catch all like "change" to blame everything on us humans for.

Meh, it's all part of winter. If yah don't like it, move to Florida. I don't understand people complaining about winter and continuing to live up here. Definition of insanity.

X3!

The ice on the lakes should be getting thinner and so should the snow instead of the other way around! It's almost like "spring freeze up" and not "spring melt down".

Wabamun lake was car accesible last week and now it isn't due to the snow getting thicker.

Also last week, It was a pain drilling through three feet of ice with a foot inbetween the ice and the engine, and now the auger engine was inches away from the ice this weekend.

I betcha it's going to be like the "extended winter" of 2008 or 2009. Where there was still ice on Lake Minnewanka in the Middle of May!

Well, that's it for my rant.

Yeah I guess that is true. Lots of people live here in Alberta because of the avaliability of employment IMO. Honestly, if there was a choice to live in Florida or here, I would still choose here.

I have vacationed in Florida for a month and enjoyed it, however towards the end of the vacation, the crowds drove me nuts and I just wanted to get out of there. When I arrived back in Alberta, I was just grateful to live here in this province where there wasn't the insane crowds.

FYI, Florida has a population of 16million packed onto a little peninsula compared to 4million in much bigger Alberta.
