Unless you're just tanning them for practice there isnt much of a point.
Look on halfords.

You'll find alum in any large grocery store next/nearby the pickleing salt.

Default Mostly

Rabbits and most other creatures are raising their young right now. It is generally accepted that rabbits are good to eat in months that contain an "r" with the last month having been April and the next month they are assumed good for table fare September. Fur is generally the best in winter and worst in summer.

Default Learnt something new today

Never heard of the "r" rule. Certainly seems to make sense.
I know the fur will be better in Decembe"r" but I do wonder about them eating better in summe"r".
X2 to raising young right about now, search function, alum in pickling aisle.
If the brush is thick enough that the hound wants to stay on the trail, there's probably rabbits.

Be careful in spring/summer as some rabbits will get ticks. You don't want those ticks in house or on your dog. Not always an issue, but some years worse than others.

Rabbit stews always good. Recall mom making delicious shake n bake rabbit when I was younger.

I like to quarter it and sear with herbs in a duch oven then bake it and eat every bit of meat off the bones. Look at the Jamie Oliver recipes for what herbs to use.
