Default Other peoples trail cams.

If you find them do you ever smile and wave? I do. Found two today and posed for some good pics. Hope they get a laugh anyway.

I recently found one on my own land ! So I took it home !!! Went back and put a note on the tree that stated if he wanted his camera back he had to come chat with the landowner ! No one yet ?????

But I have found others in other places and usually do have a little fun with them yes !!! Would love to see the surprised look when they check the pics later !

I have posed for many a trail cam. I often know who owns them, and its quite funny to hear the owners talk about who it may be........... full moons at 1:00 pm!

Default Trail cam

Three years ago i bought a trail cam and being new to them I want to see how it work in light and dark. So what does a 34 year old man do? Set it up in my bedroom, well after a couple weeks I learnt how to set it up for video and pics. So three weeks before hunting season I set it up North west of alder flats a couple miles on lease land. Well we head out a day or two before the season to have a look and yap it was gone. Guarantee they got more than the they bargained for. LOL

That being said I still like it returned no questions ask, as a matter of fact keep the camera i just want the memory card.

Default just for fun

I know where my buddies camera's are. I thought of renting a gorilla/sasquatch costume and walking past it. Then see if he says anything. It would be worth the rental cost

My hunting partner just had 2 cards in his cameras removed and cameras shut off. Hes paranoid to hunt there, even tho its public land and hes been hunting there for 15 years.
I personally wouldnt be intimidated. What kind of hunter messes with other hunters equipment.
What would you guys do if this happened in your hunting spot??

Set up a cell cam watching the cams that they keep messing with. You should get a pic texted to you before they disable that one.

Someone mentioned on there that some cameras have an internal buffer built in, that you can still retrieve some pictures from even without the card. If that's true, that may be a feature worth looking into.

Yup he has the camera with internal buffer. We checked. We think someone knew what to look for to shut them off before they got their pic taken.

I only ever found one and it was this year, smiled and waved but I doubt it lasted in the bush to much longer because the guy had it bungey strapped to a tree on a busy truck and quad trail.

If the world was balanced and all participants are balanced I would be comfortable with unsolicited pictures.

Was out sheep hunting last year and on the main trail there was a trail cam way up in a tree over a popular water hole. I thought this was a little weird but I guess the outfit is just trying to see who's going in and out of there. So I smiled and waved

SRD is using them to count sheep hunters in some areas, i know I was on at least 4 different camera's on my journey's this season. I know they belong to SRD as i saw their guys in their checking them last fall. Part of access management or something along those lines.

I have always thought that it is a nice gesture that others leave their possessions hanging around so others can help themselves to these. Our community is second to none in how we assist those less fortunate than ourselves
