Default 357 Mag Rifles

I see that Cabela's sells the Henry lever action in 357 as well as a mare's leg type thing. What other options are out there in a new gun in 357?

And is there a semi auto available??8

Rossi makes a copy of the model 92 in a few different chamberings, including 357 / 38. They are a step down from Henry rifles in the QC department though. I have one in 44 mag, and I really like it as an inexpensive camp type gun.

No, sorry. I bought mine from P&D in Edmonton, but it appears they are out of stock.

I have a Rossi ranch hand in 44mag and its a miserable bi**h to shoot and the sights were wrong for how short it was.. I think they stopped making/importing the Rossi Ranch hands in Canada. With a full length stock it would be a very manageable rifle, not with a ranch hand stock.

Uberti makes some 357 lever. They are pricey: https://www.wolverinesupplies.com/Pr...gonal-Barrel--

I have a Henry big boy 357 mag, its a fine rifle but id rather have a gate for loading. Oh and it weighs a crap load.

I really like the looks of that ruger. There is a company called coonan that makes a 357 1911 pistol that i also drool over.

Marlin 1894, I think I saw one in the Calgary WSS last week. I too have a Henry in 44, real fun gun to shoot. Less fun to carry.

Default M 92

I have one of the older Amedeo Rossi's in .38 Sp/.357 mag that has the Puma head coin on the receiver. I ordered it in in the early 80's.
Its a great quality little carbine. No complaints.

I have a 20” m92 Rossi in 38/357
I also have the ranch hand with a full length stock in 38/357

There are prettier guns but they work fine. Have taken lots of chickens

I have a miroku 1873 with 24 inch barrel i really like it. I had rusty wood put the trigger to a bit under 3 pounds and put a fibre optic front sight . Its very nice and operates perfect and the bore looks ok and shoots well. I also have an 1873 miroku in 44 40 which is nice too except for the disgusting bore although it shoots ok. Their are so many grooves and ridges down the bore you cant tell them from the rifling and pits and fissures across the rifling. Definitely the 357 1873 is great mine is anyway

I found a Rossi 92 that I like.

Good choice with the Rossi 92. I have had Henry, Rossi and Marlin. I would only buy Rossi and Marlin again. Trying not to offend Henry owners......they are fun and have really nice finishes. But if you were to actually use them for hunting or self defense against predators. Reloading is ridiculous
My 2 cents
Cheers
