Looking for recommendations for a fly rod for a 9 year old. Length and weight?
Considering the age breakage is quite possible. So a warranty would be nice or inexpensive.

Cabelas has the glass CGR in various lengths. I think 7 foot 6 being the longest. I have the 5/6 wt. Its a great casting little rod and being glass its tough. I got it due to medical reaso ns,re: heart not pumpng so reduced blood flow and bad shoulder. Cant cast long rods anymore. It practically casts itself and cheap at under a $100. Wait for a sale it drops to $76 . It is a fun little rod. It has great reviews.
