In BC I always liked going to Postill lake where you can rent a cabin with a boat included and there are 6 lakes to fish plus other lakes close by. The big okanagan lake is minutes away too. 15 cabins to choose from. And not too expensive. At twin lakes there, there is only one cabin at the whole lake, that is pretty rustic, for the location. Rainbows and brookies to 1 to 4 lbs.
Bonus is it is in the Okanagan so Kelowna and Vernon are not far away for everything a person could need. 1.5 hours south and you are bass fishing too.

In Alberta Caroline and west of Rocky Mountain House is wonderful for a variety of trout waters. I'm sure there are a few cabins to rent around there. Then you have some choices on where to fish.

Hi, I see you are in the Camrose area, not sure how adventurous you are ?
Take a look at Rainbow Lodge on Piprell Lake, just outside Narrow Hills Park, Sask. Great hosts Richard & Shelly, rustic cabins $60 , luxury townhouse $120.
Piprell has Bows, Browns, Tigers & Splake. From there you have access to 30+
trout waters in & around Narrow Hills. Cheers.....
