That goal was pretty sweet. 2 games in a row now for him.
Was a good win.

We needed this team that's played the last two games consistently though, not showing up every two or three games out of ten.

Oops, my apologies. Sorry. Oh, I don’t need a calculator. You got one series win.

Even up the series? Does it matter? Flames will be yelling fore shortly.
Perhaps...I would agree with actually. But they have a chip and a chair right now and not a bunch else to do, so I MIGHT glance at the TV from time to time. This week will either stretch them or kill them. By Sat, they could be 2 points out of a playoff spot. (mind you with MTL having 3 games in hand.) but a a CHIP AND A CHAIR!!! Not changing any of my T times to watch them though..

3-0 in the last three, all against teams above them in the standings, 12 goals for, 3 against, where was this team for the majority of the season?

Our chances of making it are very, very slim, but the flame still flickers.

They are making a bit of a run, I'll give them that, still a long way to go so we'll see, full marks for the last 3 wins

It would be a "shames" if they just did enough to play themselves out of the draft lottery. Only the bottom 11 teams are eligible to win the No. 1 pick.

Uh...pretty much everybody is above them in the standings ..the Habs have 3 games in hand and the canucks have 6...but they are coming around with Sutter calling things.....

Would be typical Flames to do just this. Ugh, we will see.

Typical hey, how many times have we seen them dig a deep hole, then wake up? You know they will take these 5 games against the Habs, just to mess things all up. That said, it is nice to see them playing better. Was pretty aggravating for a stretch there.

Versteeg gave maybe the best hockey interview I've ever heard! He played for Quenneville, said the really good coaches are gamblers. He said Sutter could walk through the dressing room before a game & know who would be flying.
Great interview!!

Take away all those Bettman points and the Flames would be in a playoff spot today. Montreal has amassed 9 points from losing. Drives me crazy.

I'm mildly intrigued by how this is going to play out:

-Calgary has 10 of their remaining 13 games against the bottom (excluding themselves of course) three teams in the division while Montreal has 10 of their 16 remaining games against the top three teams in the division;

-As per the schedule I looked at, Calgary has 13 games in 31 days (2.4 days per game) while Montreal has 16 games in 25 days (1.6 days per game); and,

-Calgary has no players on the injured reserve while Montreal has three, including their starting goalie and a top line forward.

It's a long shot and I really hope they don't end up 17th overall when the final horn sounds. I'm also assuming that Vancouver doesn't make a run for it, yea, that's a safe assumption!

Canucks have an ungodly schedule to make up games, something like 19 in 31 days? For a team that hasn't played in 3 weeks, had covid, and is out of shape. That's gonna be a killer.
