Was a much better game tonight. Couple tilts, some goals. Pretty back and forth.

What a fun game to watch.

Hate we are down by 1.. But what a great game
Very fun to watch. Flames played well. If you had to be happy with a loss that would be it. They had a hard grind and may have even deserved a better fate if it weren’t for the great equalizer McD.

A fun game to watch, tough loss. And another bottle to Bessie. This could be a hard season on his liver if the Flames don't find a way to win. But, good effort. I enjoyed it.

What a great game... to be honest I was actually hoping for a Flames 2020 last minute goal. I would loved to seen OT tonight.

That being said, I think Sutter is going to be very valuable to Trev in that he will quickly identify who is not pulling their weight and could be part of the trade deadline. Bennett is probably still a Flame because Ward kept being wishy-washy on him, Sutter is not like that and is fairly cut and dry.

When's the last time the team's hopped on his back and he's had a multipoint night and McDavid hasn't contributed? Has it happened this year?

Ya your right. He’s no good.
Lots of others have played alongside Mcdavid (Leon’s not this year) and weren’t able to come close to doing what Drai can do.
Mcdavid-god
Drai-Demi god.

If you think Draisaitl didn't contribute tonight you're even worse at hockey analytics than i thought you were. Thats saying a lot.

+3. 59% on the dot. 26:04 time on ice. McDavid the only player within 2 minutes.

But you probably thought Lucic, Turtles, Andersson, Lindholm, Valimaki, and Gio had wonderful games. -1, -1, -2, -1, -1, -2.

I only saw Lucic and Nurse. Wasn’t a fight. It was a sparring session at best and I’m unsure why they even bother. Lucic had him a few times and chose not to throw. If Lucic had any Tony Twist in him Nurse would be steam rolled for sure but it was painfully obvious he let up on him. Why bother ?

Yes. It has.
Which is difficult to do because the worlds best player is always contributing. Lol
Your implication on Edmonton only having one top tier player is just plain silly.(not putting words in your mouth, but what else could it mean?)
You have to be bordering greatness at the very least to beat Mcdavid in points, even playing alongside him. Drai can snipe. Pure and simple. Oh, he’s pretty good at making plays as well.

Always? I guess I'd put the Toronto miniseries behind me as well.

Anyhoo.... just pointing out that Drai is one of the best players in the league. Pretty much agreed upon by the vast majority. Have a good day.

Sure, you seem to be the only one debating that though. No one else is suggesting he is or isn't.

You as well.

I'm pretty sure it's my old eyes but I don't see McDavid's goal going in I see it bouncing from one post to the other then down to the blue paint there was no argument on the ice so I'm pretty sure it's just my eyes.

Win or lose, I watch for the entertainment value offered. Obviously better if they win, but a solid, hard fought, entertaining lose can be a good watch.

This, 7 minutes in, two PP, and we have 1 SOG, isn't terribly entertaining.

Even the hits, good ol' Hrudey, "Anderson just levels Stutzele as the youngster....". Didn't even knock him off his feet.

We are single-handedly ruining Ottawa chances of a high draft pick this year. Mind you we're not that far behind on draft order.
