Default Lillian and galatea

Are these lakes accessible now. I would like to hike up there this weekend and do some cuttie fishing. I've never been up there, and right now this is a solo mission. If there was one or two guys that were interested in this or have a different suggestion, I'd enjoy the company. I was hoping to leave early saturday morning but I am flexible on times. Could be just the one day or camp for a night.

Any advice and or suggestions are appreciated.

I have no first hand knowledge, but this is what I've heard too.

Based on the link, the trails are open but not recommended. The campground is closed.

Typically Lillian and Galatea is like the deerfoot at rush hour on weekends. Flip flop wearing, Voss water bottle carrying city dwellers flood to the area. It's a shame, it's an awesome area. I suggest it for a mid week if it is open as crowded is an understatement

Well I guess I'll head to picklejar, which I've never been to. I was just hoping for a suggestion of somewhere a little more remote away from the crowds.

They will likely all have crowds on the weekends man. My advice would be to hit them early.....like be at the lake for 5 or 6 am. That's when the bite is good anyway! Fish it till about noon then hike back down and move on before the crowds get out of control!
