Also not sure what you're needing, but I wanted one to melt lead, and had a hell of a time. Most all I could find were the new "safety" ones that can barely boil water. Finally found one, with the exposed coils that get red hot , at Home Hardware.

Also not sure what you're really lookin for, but I wanted one to melt lead, and had a hell of a time,
i picked one up at zellers for $20, i use it for prehaeting my bullet molds, and melting lead

I got one at Walmart for $14.00, a Proctor Silex. I too use it for casting. It has no problem melting lead in a 5 quart cast iron pot.
